The Story of St Luke's Indian Orthodox Church

StLuke IOC in Onam Flowers
Located in Chelmsford, Essex, St Luke's is a vibrant community that integrates faith with culture. Our church fosters an inclusive environment, encouraging families and individuals to participate actively in worship and fellowship. Through our diverse programs, we promote spiritual enrichment and cultural exchange within our congregation.

St Luke's was established with the aim of providing a dedicated space for the Indian Orthodox Christian community in Chelmsford and surrounding areas in Essex. Our beginnings trace back to the sincere need for a supportive church family, dedicated to preserving traditions and fostering communal ties.

Our church comprises families from diverse backgrounds, all united by the shared beliefs of the Indian Orthodox faith. We continuously strive to serve our community through outreach initiatives and cultural engagement, ensuring each member feels a sense of belonging.
